Level 2 - Our Time Wiggles & Giggles

Welcome to Wiggles and Giggles! A wonderful blend of the unlimited physical energies and the uninhibited playfulness of the Our Time child! This child is constantly on the go, driven to move, never in the same place twice! There is good reason for all this movement: research shows that movement is essential for learning! Come enjoy music, movement, instruments and more as your child learns to be expressive and independent!

2- and 3-year-olds have tons of energy and their own ideas. Level 2 classes are all about exploring creativity and enhancing cognitive development through singing, dancing, and instrument play, while grownups learn how to help unpack big emotions with music.

Kindermusik Level 2

Have a very independent toddler? Want them to be more independent? Level 2 classes give toddlers the opportunity to express their own ideas and creativity. They’ll learn new vocabulary, play instruments, and do things “their own way,” while making cognitive strides.

  • Whole Body
Muscles used for posture and balance strengthen and toddlers gain alertness, self-control, and the ability to regulate movement.
  • Fine-Motor Skills
Toddlers strengthen their finger and hand muscles, which increases fine motor skills needed to write.
  • Cognitive Development
With repetitive songs and rhymes, toddlers strengthen their ability to memorize, sequence, and predict patterns.
Ms Meredith

Ms Meredith

My name is Meredith Hyatt Lewis and I have had music as a part of my life since I was a kid! My mother says I was singing before I was talking! Twenty years ago, with the coaxing of a dear friend, I began teaching piano lessons to her son and before I knew it I had forty private voice and piano students. A college sorority sister introduced me to the Kindermusik program. She thought it was a perfect fit for me. I visited a studio in Louisville and became hooked. I became a Kindermusik educator in early 2000 and opened my studio in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Within a month I was contacted to purchase the Kindermusik of Danville program and within a year was approached about a location in Frankfort. I became a Maestro educator very quickly with those 3 studios along with my Music Box programs in Daycare/Preschool and Montessori settings. I have been teaching music in the public elementary setting for ten years, so my Kindermusik instruction has been on hold until now. This was my last year teaching in the public school system. I have decided to re-open and grow my free standing studio/business, The Lawrenceburg Academy of Performing Arts,Inc., and begin teaching Kindermusik again! I'm so excited to be back offering this wonderful program to my community and surrounding areas! Here's a little of my background! I graduated in 1987 from Anderson County High School and received my Bachelors in Music Merchandising from Eastern Kentucky University. I have performed extensively for years through Kings Island, Kings Productions, Opryland USA and various other performance outlets. I was a part of the USO tours with the Department of Defense performing for our military overseas and have been an educator for 20 years. I grew up in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky but have enjoyed living and traveling all over the world! I've been married to Bart Lewis for 21 years and we have 3 children: McKenna (19), Dalton (17) and Allaka (13).

Lawrenceburg Academy of Performing Arts , Inc. - The Lawrenceburg Academy of Performing Arts

The Lawrenceburg Academy of Performing Arts has been operating for 28 years. In the beginning we began offering private voice and piano lessons and soon introduced Kindermusik classes in Lawrenceburg, Danville & Frankfort. Within 3 short years Miss Meredith had achieved the Maestro level of teaching with Kindermusik International with her studio growth and the number of students being reached. We have had several teachers working with us throughout the years teaching Kindermusik as well as other instruments. Miss Meredith taught public school for 10 years and had taken a brief break from teaching Kindermusik while she continued her private studio lessons along with educating students in 1st - 5th grade at Saffell Street Elementary where she also directed the Saffell Singers Children's Choir along with several theatrical productions with Saffell Players, our school drama program. Our physical studio is now only operating in downtown Lawrenceburg. We are thrilled to still be offering Kindermusik classes, along with private voice & piano; Lawrenceburg Children's & Youth Choir; Children's Theater; music camps and other arts education programming. We have been proud throughout the years to offer a variety of programming through Kindermusik for Montessori, Private Schools, Daycares and homeschool programs. We are always interested in discussing contracting at your school or facility for music programming! Lawrenceburg Academy of Performing Arts also began our Nashville Songwriter Festival five years ago each fall in Lawrenceburg. More information about all of these programs can be found on our website www.lawrenceburgacademyofperformingarts.com.
