Ahoy, there, Mates! It's time to dive into a sea of pretend-play experiences. Our adventures are all about water! We'll blow bubbles in the bathtub, float down the river, and sail through smooth and choppy waters as we learn about patterns, number concepts, study beat, and rhythm. We'll expand our spatial awareness as we waddle to the water like penguins, swim to the surface like fish, and row, row, row our boats. A Playdate is a single, 45-minute class that meets once. Each child will make a craft and go home with an instrument and music.

Margaret's Music Studio, established in 1993, has been awarded the prestigious Kindermusik "Maestro" designation every year since 2004. Margaret's Music Studio believes that music nurtures the soul, enhances development, and that everyone is musical; therefore, it’s never too early to start a musical education. Owner/Director Margaret Matthes is a classical choral singer who has sung under renowned conductors, including Ricardo Muti, Zubin Mehta and Leonard Bernstein. In New York she sang with Gregg Smith Singers, a Grammy-nominated a cappella chamber choir. Locally she has performed with the Birmingham Musicale, DeHaven Chorale, Oakland Choral Society and the vocal chamber choir "Sounding Light." Margaret holds a B.S. in Music Education from UT Knoxville and an Master''s degree in Music Education from Westminster Choir College.
