Keyboarding 1
This is a beginning keyboarding skills class for kiddos new to the piano. In order to enroll in this class, you should either have a piano or keyboard at your house for at home practice on the skills learned in class.
This class is for beginning piano students. We will learn the basics of piano and other musical activities to enhance your young musicians knowledge and appreciation of music. Our goal: to have fun and to learn:) We will get your kiddo playing some music before you know it. Some questions we will answer are: What is a quarter note? What is a steady beat? How many letters of the alphabet do we use when naming music notes? Why are there black and white keys on the piano?
The cost doesn't include the purchase of piano books. Those will be purchased separately and billed. We will make sure you get the correct books for your child.

My musical journey started out in Utah - with a love of piano and singing. I was offered a piano performance scholarship to Weber State University, but life took a turn as I met and married someone in the military. I completed a Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Administration from WSU, but ultimately spent most of my time teaching music! As we have journeyed through our assignments I have loved establishing a musical community through piano lessons. I discovered Kindermusik and absolutely fell in love a few years ago - I became a licensed educator in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I believe Kindermusik is a great start to creating a musical culture in your home that can last a lifetime! You can often find me whistling a Kindermusik tune while I take care of my four crazy and adorable boys because it just makes everything happier! I am thrilled to continue the musical journey in the Oklahoma City area with Miss Deidra as well as you and your beautiful children!
